Lamborghini built 152 of the Jarama S and no more than 20 in RHD.
It is possible there are less than 12 left in the world and most are tucked away in collections and rarely come onto the market, and if they do, they are priced in significant figures.
The car features the wonderful Lamborghini V12 in 3929cc form, fuelled by six (yes six) Weber 40 DCOE carburettors to produce 365 bhp and a top speed of well over 160mph.
The car was designed by the great Marcello Gandini of Bertone and Mr Ferruccio Lamborghini stated that this was his favourite model - and is perhaps, closest to his dream of building an executive express, with the 2+2 configuration allowing the family man to enjoy the car.
This example was built in 1972 and therefore has tax-free status.
It’s an early “S” and less than 38k miles are registered and this is believed correct.
The original colour was Verde Rio and the present colour is close to this.
The car is a manual and has the original and rare Campagnolo cast magnesium wheels and an original interior.
This car was featured in Auto Italia in December 2007.
I am told a large amount of history will come with the car. Owned by the last owner for 10 years.
Please note that the car has not run for 4 years and needs re-commissioning.
We are told the car ran well before storage. Overall condition is good and it would make a wonderful and worthwhile winter project for an enthusiast or someone with time and patience.
Some may want to spend money to upgrade the interior but we like it as it is. We are willing to do the re-commissioning if the new owner so desires.
